India has surpassed 60,000 daily cases of the disease since last week, compared to a minimum of 10,000 cases in February, so the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare stated that the situation is going ‘from bad to worse’.

So far, India accumulates 12,303,131 Covid-19 cases, 163,428 deaths and 11,525,039 recovered patients since the disease broke out in January 2020, according to official statistics.

Nearly 69 million doses of locally produced Covid-19 vaccines have been administered in India so far.
