On its official website, the ANPP praised their solidarity with Cuba, citing a great number of examples.
Among those opposing US blockade was Godefroid Mwenda Bantú Munongo, president of the Friendship Group with Cuba in the Senate of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, who ‘reiterated his support for Cuba in its legitimate claim against the blockade during a meeting with the Cuban ambassador in Kinshasa’, as well as Deputy Elshad Mirbashiroglu, head of the Friendship Group with Cuba in Azerbaijan´ Parliament, described the fight of the Cuban people against US policy as fair and thanked the Cuban health specialists who are currently fighting the Covid- 19 pandemic in his country.
Similarly, Sharon Palacio, mayor of Belmopan, Belize´s capital, and Danish parliamentarian from the Unitary List (Roji-Green Alliance) Christian Juhl also recently condemned the US blockade.
Official sources consider Washington’s hostile measure as a major drawback to implementing the National Economic and Social Development Plan, the 2030 Agenda and objectives in Cuba.
