Kahlo’s leadership in 29 countries can be visualized on a map that offers an overview of the most popular creators in the world and by continent, using the Google Keyword tool, created by artsupplies.com and specialized in art sales.
According to the survey, Da Vinci is in the first place of the searches (82 countries), the third place went to Vincent Van Gogh (24), followed by Pablo Picasso (18) and more recent figures such as the graffiti artist Banksy (14) in the 4th and 5th place, respectively.
Kahlo’s work recently inspired the National Geographic documentary ‘Frida: Long Live Life’, by Italian director Giovanni Troilo, which follows the life and art of the artist through photographs, personal items, documents and exclusive interviews.
