Two vaccine batches -donated by India and Covax- arrived in Nicaragua in the first half of March.

India sent as many as 200,000 vaccine doses to Nicaragua on March 7, and 135 others from Covax was received on March 16.

Previously, Nicaragua´s health authorities started its vaccination campaign with 6,000 Sputnik V doses that arrived in Managua on February 23.

During coming stage that will begin on Tuesday, 170,000 Nicaraguans suffering from chronic diseases, heart diseases, cancer patients as well as those over 60 years will be vaccinated.
