Based on statements by an unidentified official, the website mentions the response to reports from US website Politico about a proposal that Washington envisages to revive the nuclear deal.
According to the anonymous source, Iranian authorities reiterate that they will only accept the complete lifting of the US embargo to return to the origin of the pact.
In addition, the text explained that Iran’s steps regarding cuts in its commitments were never outside the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or nuclear deal.
These measures adopted by Iran are included in articles 26 and 36 of the JCPOA that stipulate the right to take corrective decisions in case of violations of any of the others.
In 2018, Washington withdrew from the multilateral deal signed in 2015 between Tehran and the G5+1 (the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Russia and China plus Germany) and by order of former President Donald Trump, it undertook a maximum pressure policy with very harsh sanctions.
