Protest took place in front of the United Nations (UN) building, where demonstrators carried banners depicting several messages: ‘Let the Haitian people decide’, ‘We demand Jovenel Moïse´s resignation’ and ‘We support Haitian people’.
Likewise, protestors condemned the interference from abroad in Haiti´s internal affairs, considering these violate the principles of international law and self-determination.
On the other hand, a letter addressed to Moïse was delivered Monday to the Haitian Embassy, in which signatories demanded respect for the 1987 Constitution, which turned 34 years and restored citizen´s rights after a long dictatorship.
