This would be a basic condition to support President Sebastián Piñera´s proposal to postpone April 10 and 11 elections to May 15 and 16.

Senate President Yasna Provoste said that in a meeting with the leaders of the center and left parties, they gave her the mandate to transmit such a determination to the Parliament.

In the opinion of opponents of the Executive for the electoral schedule change ‘to make sense and be responsible, it must be supported by important transformations from health governance and in the way in which social and economic aids are given’.
