Controls have to be stricter, from national to municipal and departmental bodies, especially in border areas, Andrónico Rodríguez, Senate president, stated.
Andrónico Rodríguez urged to be careful with in-person classes in primary, secondary and university levels, especially in regions bordering Brazil which are recently receiving an emergency immunization to halt the coronavirus strain.
Regarding an eventual border closing with Brazil, Andrónico Rodríguez assured this measure must respond to a study on the economic movement of the area, a situation that is also happening in Argentina.
National government, headed by President Luis Arce, has decided on purchasing more vaccines to contain the spread of the new coronavirus variant in the country, Rodríguez said.
