Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning affirmed that the documents issued after the group’s foreign ministers’ meeting distort facts, attack China, and violate its internal affairs.
“China expresses its strong dissatisfaction and categorical opposition,” she said, adding that Beijing submitted formal protests to all countries concerned.
Mao underscored that Taiwan is a core issue for China and it will not tolerate external interference.
The spokesperson stressed that the situation in the South China Sea is stable and no threat to freedom of navigation or overflight.
The Foreign Ministry spokesperson urged the G7 not to cause tensions or disputes in these areas.
