Vice President Assures Venezuela Will Advance in Energy Leadership (+Photo)

Caracas, March 12 (Prensa Latina) Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez declared today that with the activation of the Hydrocarbons Engine, Venezuela will advance toward consolidating its international energy leadership.

On her Telegram account, the vice president noted that with this, the South American nation will expand its capabilities and potential in oil, gas, and petrochemicals.

All of this, she stated, “thanks to our country’s sovereign knowledge in this area and the high morale and awareness of the workers in the national energy industry.”

The senior official joined President Nicolás Maduro the day before, along with other authorities, in a work session dedicated to the activation of the Hydrocarbons Engine.

The head of state stated at the meeting that Venezuela “is open to all international investments in oil, gas, petrochemicals, and refining.”

He emphasized that their doors are “wide open for the world to come and produce and earn.”

In this regard, he praised the work they have been doing with joint ventures, which have seen “sustained growth in oil production.”

Maduro emphasized that all of the country’s oil fields are in production and revealed that in February, daily production, based on official data, averaged 1.58 million barrels of oil, a growth trend that should continue in March, he noted.

The Bolivarian Republic, he affirmed, is prepared in its 13 Productive Economic Engines, but especially in the Hydrocarbon sector, and reiterated its willingness to “whoever wants to come, let them come, and we regret those who cannot because they are prohibited.”

He commented that Venezuela has the largest oil reserves in the world and announced that they are in the process of “new certifications and discoveries” that place the South American nation at a higher level in terms of reserves, in addition to working to reduce its production costs. production to the lowest.

Maduro referred to the nine years since the creation of the Bolivarian Economic Agenda, which, he believed, was the first impactful response to the economic war of 2014, 2015, and 2016, which led the country to a “tough, difficult, and resilient situation.”

He asserted that this allowed for the implementation of what has been and is “a successful, correct, and nationalist strategy for building a new economic model.” The president announced that, starting March 20, and for 10 days, Simón Bolívar Park in La Carlota, Miranda state, will host the first Hydrocarbon Sovereignty Expo Fair.
