Although the exact number of the detainees is not known, a press release from the Ministry specified that in the next hours the accusing organ will request coercive measures against the accused arrested so far.

It indicated that the actions against the criminal network began last weekend with the participation of 89 prosecutors and 564 agents of special forces.

It pointed out that the units are deployed in several points of the country and use special equipment, including helicopters for support.

According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, modern investigation techniques were used in the investigations, such as the reconstruction of the crime scene by means of special software, among others, which will be presented to the judge in due course. In addition, the Dirección Central de Investigaciones Criminales (DICRIM) collaborated in the processing of some important scenes for the investigation.
