Pakistan organizes meeting on girls’ education in Muslim community

Islamabad, Jan 9 (Prensa Latina) Pakistan will organize, on Saturday, the International Conference Girls' Education in Muslim Communities: Challenges and Opportunities, with the participation of more than 150 international dignitaries, local press reported today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the event aims to address the challenges of advancing education in that specific gender, foster dialogue, and find viable solutions.

The conference will also provide an ideal platform for high-level discussions and collaborations.

Based on the news outlet, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will deliver a keynote address reaffirming the nation’s commitment to promoting girls’ education and gender equality.

More than 150 international dignitaries, including ministers, ambassadors, experts, and academics from 44 Muslim and friendly countries, as well as representatives from organizations such as Unesco, Unicef, and the World Bank, are expected to participate.

The conference will conclude with the signing of the Islamabad Declaration, which outlines the Muslim community’s shared commitment to empowering girls through education to pave the way for inclusive and sustainable reforms in the sector and a brighter future for generations to come.
