Vietnam’s capital inflow benefited 31 countries and territories, in which Laos reached 28.8 percent of the total investment and an increase of 62.2 percentage points compared to 2023, followed by Indonesia and India, the Ministry of Planning and Investment reported.
The financial institution stated that the capital went towards 164 new projects and funding for 26 others, with science and technology as the most popular destination, accounting for more than 30.2 percent of the total invested abroad. It was followed by processing and manufacturing, which made up 21 percent of the total, and electricity production and distribution ranked third with just over 14 percent.
Nowadays, Vietnam has invested in 1,825 valid foreign projects, totaling more than 22.59 billion dollars.
