The National Front for the Defense of Economic and Social Rights (Frenadeso) denounced in a statement the arrival last night and presence in Panama of former right-wing candidate, recognized CIA agent, implicated in the murders of nuns and Catholic priests in El Salvador in the 80’s when he was ambassador, according to the text.
The collective points out that the purpose of this ungrateful visit is to continue using Panama as a center of conspiracy of the international right wing and as a ramp of aggression against other peoples of the region.
Frenadeso specifies in his message that Gonzalez will be accompanied by former presidents who in their countries committed all kinds of abuses and acts of repression and injustice against their peoples and who left a burden of theft and corruption that still has dire consequences in the lives of their citizens.
In the case of the Central American nation, former presidents Mireya Moscoso (1999-2024) and Ernesto Perez Balladares (1994-1999), have no moral authority to speak to others about human rights and democracy.
For the social organization, this will be another media show, whose only real consequence could be to create the conditions to increase U.S. interventionism in an increasingly convulsive world where the ultra-right and fascism are showing more aggressively their desperation in view of the decline of the system and the world order they imposed.
He also repudiates that the Government of José Raúl Mulino received Gonzáles and the former presidents, despite having previously declared to international media that he was unaware of such visit. “It is there where this situation becomes more outrageous and unjustifiable, as it occurs a few hours after the president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, threatened to use military force to seize the Panama Canal”, the text stresses.
