The institution underscored that 20 other mosques were damaged in the West Bank, mostly in the governorates of Tulkarem and Jenin, as well as several Christian buildings.
The Ministry also criticized the restrictions imposed by the government of President Benjamin Netanyahu on the celebration of Christian holidays in Jerusalem at the end of the year, including Christmas.
The text highlighted that tens of thousands of Israeli settlers stormed, at least 256 times, into the Esplanade of the Mosques, or Temple Mount, in the occupied East Jerusalem last year.
