The Armed Forces issued a statement condemning Israel’s attacks on the sovereignty of Lebanon and its citizens and the destruction of villages and towns in the south of the nation.
The Ministry of Defense increased the level of alert and readiness at the Qaaqaaiyet El-Jisr checkpoint due to Israeli movements from Taybeh towards Aadchit El-Qsair and Qantara, and stated that the army leadership is monitoring the situation in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force (UNIFIL) and the mechanism for monitoring the implementation of the ceasefire.
The Armed Forces blocked access to Wadi al-Hujeir from their position on the Qaaqaaiyet El-Jisr bridge, while Israeli tanks patrolled the valley.
According to the National News Agency, an Israeli force abducted a civilian from Tebnine while he was traveling to his workplace at the UNIFIL Indonesian Battalion center in Aadchit El-Qsair, Marjaayoun district, in the south.
Commenting on the Israeli hostility, the Minister of Labour in the interim government, Moustafa Bayram, said that the only viable solution to enemy attacks is resistance, as all other approaches have failed.
Nearly a month after the truce came into effect, the number of Israeli violations of the agreement has exceeded 800 violations, resulting in more than 30 deaths and nearly 40 injuries.
