The bodies were found in the rugged area of Taura, in the canton of Naranjal, in the province of Guayas, while investigations continue to find out the whereabouts of the children, reported Teleamazonas channel.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the exact number of bodies found nor their identity.
According to the digital portal Primicias, teams from the National Directorate of Crimes against Life (Dinased), Criminalistics and other specialized units will carry out forensic analysis to determine their identity and causes of death.

A judge declared this Tuesday the existence of forced disappearance in the case and ordered comprehensive reparation measures.
