Implemented by the Alexander Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language, the international volunteer program Ambassadors of the Russian Language in the World is a new format of humanitarian volunteering, with the aim of promoting the Russian language, Russian education and science.
The ambassadors not only introduce foreign-speaking children to regional studies in Russia, but also familiarize them with the traditions and customs of foreign countries, which contributes to building an effective dialogue between cultures.
During eight years of implementation of the program, more than 48 thousand schoolchildren and students from Russia and other countries participated in educational events of ambassadors of the Russian language.
Every year, volunteers travel to foreign countries on educational expeditions and share their love for the Russian language with schoolchildren and students living in different parts of the world.
The Republic of Cuba is a strategically important partner of the Pushkin Institute in issues of intercultural communication, stimulating the research of young Russian academics and maintaining interest in the Russian language and culture.
