During a televised speech, the leader of Hezbollah emphasized that the Israeli enemy has not manage to break the stronghold of the Resistance, adding that Tel Aviv’s actions cannot be described as achievements.
In the midst of the implementation of the ceasefire, Qassem expressed: “we have endured hundreds of Israeli violations during this period, with an aim to facilitate the implementation of the agreement, expose the enemy and demand that all parties involved are accountable.”
According to the leader, Hezbollah is monitoring the events and “we act according to our assessment of the interests and how the events develop.”
The legitimacy of the Resistance arises from its faith in its cause and training, regardless of its capabilities, he noted.
“We do not know when the Resistance will finally defeat this occupier, sometimes it wins and sometimes it suffers setbacks, but the essential thing is its perseverance and presence on the battlefield,” he stressed.
In his words, victory lies in maintaining the Resistance and ignoring the discordant voices that reflect desperation and a reactionary behavior.
The highest authority of Hezbollah pointed out that the Israeli aggression against Lebanon was stopped at the borders, thanks to the firmness of the fighters, the people and the army.
“Each phase has its own methods and approaches; some changes occurred, but the key is for the Resistance to endure,” he added.
In Qassem’s opinion, the Israeli enemy is contemplating the construction of settlements in Gaza and the annexation of the West Bank, all with support from the United States.
Hezbollah is strong and is recovering from its wounds. Those who expected its end are disappointed, he said.
For the next stage, the head of the Resistance indicated as priority the implementation of the agreement south of the Litani River, as well as reconstruction efforts and the election of a president of the Republic.
Commenting on the situation in Syria, he voiced hopes that the new ruling body considers Israel an enemy.
As he further expounded on Syria’s affairs, he admitted that the Syrian government fell into the hands of new forces and “we cannot judge until they stabilize, take clear positions and regularize their situation.”
“Hizbulah lost a military supply route in this phase, but this is just a detail: we can explore alternative routes,” he said.
In light of the Israeli attacks against the Syrian army’s infrastructure under various pretexts, the leader of the Lebanese Resistance reaffirmed that such hostile actions reflect the expansionist agenda of the Zionist entity, whose objective is to extend its grip to all Arab countries.
