In two letters with identical contents, addressed to the Council and to the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, the Syrian ambassador to the UN, Qusay al-Dahhak, urged the adoption of measures to force Tel Aviv to immediately cease its attacks and withdraw from the areas it had occupied, in violation of the separation of forces agreement reached in 1974.
