Nicaraguan Vice President Highlighted Historic Relations with Russia

Managua, Dec 12 (Prensa Latina) Nicaraguan Vice President Rosario Murillo highlighted the historic diplomatic relations with Russia, whose 80th anniversary they are celebrating.

During her daily address, the Vice President referred to the historical events that Nicaragua and Russia have faced together, from the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics to the current Russian Federation.

Murillo said they have been working for a peaceful world for 80 years. “The Russian Federation has given us great examples, the Soviet people have given us, with all those days that have been glorious epics defending the right of humanity to live with rights and to live in peace,” she said.

According to Murillo, Nicaragua feels honored and privileged with these relations that have been strengthened over time and events, because the principles and values ​​remain the same: fighting for the union of peoples. “Fighting bravely for peace and security for the peoples of the world, fighting so that people can live as we deserve on earth as paradise, the homeland of humanity,” she said.

In particular, the vice president greeted the diplomatic staff of Russia in Nicaragua, as well as the missions that contribute to the work for peace in the country. She mentioned the Nicaraguan delegation on a working visit to Moscow, headed by presidential advisor Laureano Ortega and other officials and journalists, who attended the 6th meeting of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission in Russia.
