According to local reports, Israeli forces targeted the area around the cemetery in the southern town of Aainata, where funeral ceremonies were being held.
The United Nations Interim Force (UNIFIL) and the Lebanese Red Cross found Amin Khashish, who was killed near his home at the northern entrance of Khiam, amid suspicions that he was a target of Israel.
According to the Al-Akhbar newspaper, Khasish disappeared last night near his home and his wife confirmed that he received a call from individuals for a meeting and when he came out she heard an explosion.
The publication itself said that Khashish’s body was taken to the Marjayoun Government Hospital, where an initial examination indicated that he died from an attack by a drone.
On Wednesday, the Israeli military bombed homes near the villages of Al-Jebbayn-Tayr Harfa, while warplanes flew low over Zahrani.
Israeli forces prevented the Lebanese Army and the Engineer Regiment from entering the northern neighborhood of Khiam.
Within two weeks of the 60-day truce, Israel’s air and ground violations exceeded one hundred and its hostility killed more than 20 Lebanese.
