Venezuelan president expresses solidarity with Brazilian counterpart

Caracas, Dec 10 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro expressed his solidarity on Tuesday with his Brazilian counterpart, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who underwent emergency surgery due to an intracranial hemorrhage.

“I am closely following the reports that show a positive evolution of the medical condition of the Brazilian president,” the Venezuelan leader wrote on his Telegram channel.

The Bolivarian head of State expressed to Lula his “full solidarity and best wishes for a prompt recovery, so that he can soon resume his full activities at the head of the sister Federative Republic of Brazil.”

Our hug, brother Lula! We are with you! Maduro said.

Medical reports from the Syrian-Lebanese hospital in Sao Paulo indicated that the 79-year-old Brazilian dignitary is doing well, speaks normally and will not suffer from any sequels.

The medical team pointed out that surgery was performed to drain a hematoma in the head, after Lula had headaches following a fall last October.
