During the meeting, both high authorities reviewed bilateral ties and examined different sectors of potential common interest for the development of both countries, official sources commented.

Rodríguez, Minister for Petroleum of the Bolivarian Republic, thanked her Al Nahyan for welcoming her delegation and, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, congratulated her hosts on the 53rd anniversary of the UAE’s National Day.

With this working visit Venezuela reiterates its willingness to boost ties with the UAE.

Caracas and Abu Dhabi are part of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and share other important spaces of multilateral organizations, such as the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement and the Group of 77 + China.

Rodriguez arrived on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi from China, as part of an international tour.
