Under the theme “Harnessing Artificial Intelligence (AI), Green Industrialization and Intellectual Property for Africa’s Transformation,” AIW 2024 will bring together leaders and change-makers until December 13 next to discuss and implement solutions for sustainable industrial growth within the African Continental Free Trade Area.
It also proposes to delve into cutting-edge topics, including the transformative potential of AI, the shift towards green manufacturing practices, and the crucial role of intellectual property in driving competitive advantage for African industries.
These themes are aligned with Africa’s strategic objectives under Agenda 2063, which emphasizes technological advancement, environmental sustainability and regional integration.
Similarly, they focus on key sectors such as pharmaceuticals, mineral benefit, food processing, and automotive industries, with the overall objective of promoting African capacity for high-value production and intra-African trade.
