Director Karim Aïnouz offers a filmic experience full of textures; a film that manages to transmit the warmth of Ceará, a state located in the northeastern region of Brazil.

Aïnouz expresses through his aesthetics full of contrasts the love between a young man who lives against a system that wants him dead and a woman reluctant to the attacks of the patriarchy against her own life.

Coming from a cinema full of attention and contemplation, Aïnouz explores the confined, the hidden in “Motel Destino”, and by looking inside his characters he shows a story of Brazil through desire, guilt, and love.

This film is the fruit of a collaboration between Cinema Inflamável and Gullane, the production company responsible for such material as Paloma, Que Horas Ela Volta?, Sintonia, and O Rei da TV.
