The mudflow occurred in eastern Uganda following heavy rains in the mountainous district of Bulambuli, 280 kilometers east of Kampala, on November 27.
As the rescue works progress, more deaths are reported, while about 100 people are still missing, local authorities stated.
Several children were among the bodies found in the search, rescuers said.
Many regions in this country have been affected by heavy rains brought by climate change, which has wreaked havoc in many African countries this years, so far considered the hottest in the region.
