Heavy rains forecast in northeastern Mexico states

Mexico City, Dec 2 (Prensa Latina) States in the northeast, east and south of Mexico will receive heavy rains due to, among other phenomena, a low pressure channel over those regions, the National Weather Service (SMN) forecasts.

Such precipitation will occur in the demarcations of Oaxaca, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas and Veracruz, while rainfall is forecast in Chiapas, Coahuila, Hidalgo, Puebla, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí and Tabasco, as well as isolated rains in Campeche and Guanajuato.

The specialists also predict northerly wind of 40 to 60 km/h with gusts of 60 to 80 km/h in the Gulf and Isthmus of Tehuantepec, and of 20 to 40 km/h with winds of 40 to 60 km /h in the north of the federal entities of Campeche, Quintana Roo and Yucatan.

There will also be winds of 20 to 40 km/h with gusts of 40 to 60 km/h on the coasts of Tabasco and Tamaulipas, and 15 to 25 km/h with wind gusts of 30 to 50 km/h in Coahuila, Durango, State of Mexico, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Puebla, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Tlaxcala and Zacatecas.
