Legislators will hold the first discussion of both regulations in a special session of Parliament, under the provisions of Article 104 of the Internal Regulations and Debates of the Legislative Branch.
The meeting will also consider the reports presented by the Permanent Commission of Economy, Finance, and National Development, which submits the draft Budget of the National Assembly and the Budget of Income and Operating Expenses of the Central Bank of Venezuela.
On October 14th, the Vice President of the Sector and Minister of Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, and the Minister of Economy, Finance, and Foreign Trade, Anabel Pereira, presented the Draft Law of the National Budget for 2025 and the Law on Indebtedness.
Menéndez stated that the documents allow the connection of the routes of hope in the Bolivarian Republic, with the Government Plan of the Seven Great Transformations to 2030 (7T), and affirmed that even though the budget allocated corresponds to next year, it connects with the 7T “because the only transition in Venezuela is towards socialism.”
He valued these instruments as crucial in the country’s development and the social and economic benefits, especially when some people have tried to curtail the right to improve the Republic. He also stressed that President Nicolás Maduro proposed generating all the processes and dynamics that “ will lead us to advance in the conquest of our future.”
