Putin signs law on 2025-2027 federal budget

Moscow, Dec 1 (Prensa Latina) Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on Russia's federal budget for 2025 and the 2026-2027 period, according to the official website on legal information on Sunday.

The information specifies that budget revenues in 2025 will reach 40.296 trillion rubles and expenses 41.469 trillion. The current official exchange rate of the Central Bank of Russia is 107.00 rubles per dollar.

In the future, budget revenues are expected to grow to 41.841 trillion rubles in 2026 and 43.154 trillion rubles in 2027, and expenditures might rise to 44.22 and 45.915 trillion rubles, respectively.

The budget deficit in 2025 will reach 0.5 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), 0.9 percent in 2026, and 1.1 percent in 2027. The main source of budget financing will be domestic state borrowing.

In early 2025, the National Welfare Fund is expected to reach 11.55 trillion rubles, 12.883 trillion rubles in 2026, and 14.927 trillion rubles in 2027. That is, it will grow from 5.2 percent to 6 percent of GDP.

The main parameters of the budget were determined on the basis of the GDP estimate for 2025 of 214.575 trillion rubles and inflation of no more than 4.5 percent.
