Under the motto “For a sustainable innovation”, the event is scheduled for October 20-24, 2025 and will host 20 events, in hybrid and in-person modalities, with debates, reflections and exchanges for the construction of robust science, technology and innovation systems, based on the understanding of the links between actors and social transformation.
According to Dr.Sc. Luis Antonio Barranco, rector of the UCLV and president of the event, the event will receive researchers, academics, teachers, managers, businessmen, policy makers, students and other social actors, both Cuban and foreign, with the purpose of showing scientific results and bringing academia closer to social projects.
In turn, it will feature the presentation of keynote lectures by experts of recognized international and national prestige, as well as those linked to the development of other scientific activities from a multidisciplinary and intersectoral perspective.
According to the released program, the event will also promote the signing and updating of agreements, letters of intent and specific agreements in order to to promote scientific collaboration and the relationship between UCLV and other institutions and organizations, focused on the establishment of new academic projects and networks.
Among the main forums are those related to law, psychology, material structures, business sciences, sustainable energy development, the internationalization of higher education and public policies and citizen participation.
According to Dr. C. Yanet Rodríguez, the organizer of the conclave, the extensive program includes pre-event courses, master conferences, specialized panels, workshops, exhibition fairs, rounds of dialogue and the signing of agreements, all as part of a projection that seeks to bring universities closer to companies.
This November 30, UCLV, the most multidisciplinary higher education institution in the country, reached its 72nd anniversary while training more than 11 thousand students in 55 careers, hosting five research centers and ten research centers on its campus, which carry out more than a hundred socio-community projects in the different branches of knowledge.
