At the sixth round of bilateral Foreign Office consultations in New Delhi, delegations from both countries discussed ways to deepen the bilateral relationship, focusing on areas such as pharmaceuticals, development partnerships, and capacity building.
Led by Suresh Kumar, Joint Secretary of the Indian Foreign Ministry, and Ayman Raad, Deputy Foreign and Expatriate Minister of Syria, the meeting also led to talks on prospects for important regional and global issues of mutual interest.
For New Delhi, the discussions held on Friday will boost the bilateral partnership between the two countries.
India and Syria enjoy warm and friendly relations based on historical and civilized ties, the Foreign Ministry affirmed.
India is an enthusiastic partner for Syria’s development and is also actively involved in training Syrian youth. The diplomat source also assured that the two countries cooperate in multilateral forums.
