The SVR’s note, released this Friday on its official website, explains that according to information obtained, NATO currently prefers to freeze hostilities in Ukraine given the obvious lack of prospects for causing a strategic defeat to Russia on the battlefield.
“The West sees in this scenario an opportunity to restore the combat capacity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and thoroughly prepare Kiev for an attempt at revenge,” warned Russian intelligence.
According to the SVR, to this end, NATO is “deploying training centers in Ukraine through which at least one million mobilized personnel will be dragged.”
The Western plan also provides for the deployment of a peacekeeping contingent of about 100,000 troops, which Russian intelligence describes as a “de facto occupation.”
It also provides for the alleged division of Ukrainian territories between Romania (the Black Sea coast), Poland (western areas), Germany (central and eastern Ukraine), and the United Kingdom (the north, including the kiev area).
For the SVR, “to the question of whether Russia needs such a political settlement, the answer is No.”
