Israel bombs bridges on Syrian-Lebanese border

Damascus, Nov 26 (Prensa Latina) Five bridges on the border between Syria and Lebanon were attacked and destroyed by Israel, local authorities quoted by the press said.

Israeli fighter jets, which violated Lebanese airspace, launched several missiles against the Joubanieh, Al-Daf, Al-Hudour, Matraba, and Al-Hosh bridges in the town of Qusseir, bordering Lebanon and located in the Syrian province of Homs, about 200 kilometers northwest of the capital.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense said that the attack caused injuries to two civilians and material losses.

Last Saturday, Syrian authorities reported that Israeli bombings caused great material damage to the facilities of the Joussieh border crossing between Syria and Lebanon, located near the municipality of Qussair.

Tel Aviv has stepped up its military actions against targets in Syrian territory, with more than 140 attacks in almost 13 months, causing at least 150 deaths and extensive material damage.

The deadliest attack was on the 17th of this month when at least 90 persons lost their lives in Israeli air strikes against the city of Palmyra in the Syrian desert, located about 300 kilometers northeast of the capital.

The Syrian government has repeatedly called for efforts to stop the war crimes and genocide committed by Israel against the states and peoples of the region.
