Along with this delegation from the Eurasian giant, the ambassador of the Russian Federation in Cuba, Viktor Koronelli, and a group of personalities from the government traveled to Santiago de Cuba, who are visiting the southeastern city of the island in the context of the 50th anniversary of the friendly relations between both cities.
At the Santa Ifigenia heritage cemetery, Evgeny Grigoriev said he was impressed by the way Cubans preserve their history, “something that many countries in the world should learn from,” and he made a fraternal invitation to the governor of Santiago de Cuba, Manuel Falcón, to visit his city.
Ambassador Viktor Koronelli said it was a great honor to pay tribute to Fidel Castro Ruz, Historical Leader of the Cuban Revolution, whom he considered to have a greatness that transcends the Antillean nation, because he belongs to the entire world.
The visitors were received by Governor Manuel Falcón, and their stay here included official exchanges at the Provincial Government Palace, and the signing of an agreement to promote cultural exchange between the two cities.
