IRNA informed that Iranian Women and Family Affairs, Vice President Zahra Behrouz Azar, and Cuban Women’s Federation (FMC) General Secretary, Teresa Amarelle Boue, exchanged views on cooperation in favor of women and reducing the impact of imperialist sanctions on women’s empowerment.
The Iranian news agency adds that both sides also voiced hope that the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation will create new opportunities for developing relations between the two countries.
IRNA stated that they also agreed to exchange experiences in the development programs and implementation of laws related to women and families.
The note concludes that Behrouz Azar and Amarelle Boue also deplored the unjust sanctions and economic terrorism of the United States and its allies against independent countries, and the recent Israeli attacks in the region, especially the genocide in Gaza.
