The approximately 300 delegates representing a hundred associations from nearly 30 countries supported the socialist course chosen by the Cubans, adopting the final declaration of the forum over the weekend at the headquarters of the French Communist Party.

The text includes the rejection of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade that the United States has imposed on the island for more than 60 years and the inclusion of Cuba in the unilateral and arbitrary list of countries that Washington considers sponsors of terrorism.

Regarding the increased and extraterritorial blockade, the meeting agreed to promote the dissemination of the verdict of the International Tribunal, which last year judged and condemned in Brussels the blockade.

Similarly, the European movement of solidarity with Cuba denounced the media war and the financing of subversion against the Cuban Revolution. The movement also demanded the return of the territory illegally occupied by the United States with a naval base in the eastern province of Guantánamo.

Regarding the XX European Continental Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, the plenary called for it to be held in Türkiye in 2026.

The day before, delegates debated new activities to support the island, and in the action plan, they included the commitment to greater coordination accompanying political and economic solidarity.
