At the French Communist Party (PCF) headquarters, nearly 300 delegates from around thirty countries will finalize the declaration and the Paris Action Plan following a day of committee work.
On Saturday, participants discussed the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by Washington, its intensification and consequences, the portrayal of Cuban reality, and countering disinformation on social media. They emphasized economic cooperation as a vital means to support Cuba amid the devastating effects of the blockade, which has lasted over six decades.
In addition to condemning the blockade, the final document is expected to call for Cuba’s removal from the U.S. unilateral list of state sponsors of terrorism, a designation with severe financial repercussions.
The meeting will end with a public event to express solidarity with Cuba and the announcement of the venue for the next gathering.
