Brasilia, Nov 19 (Prensa Latina) Paraguayan President Santiago Peña, hospitalized last night after feeling ill during the Group of 20 (G20) Leaders' Summit in Rio de Janeiro, was discharged from a hospital on Tuesday.

Peña, 46, spent the night at the Samaritano Hospital in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro.

The Paraguayan government, quoted by local media, informed that the president was taken in for tests that showed normal results. He is now resting and being monitored by doctors.

The Uruguayan head of State should resume activities on the second and last day of the G20 Summit of the world’s 19 major economies, the European Union (EU), and the African Union (AU).

Journalistic sources reported that Peña was hastily removed from the Summit after he had suffered chest pains. He was taken to a clinic at Rio’s Modern Art Museum, the venue of the event, where an ECG test showed a change in his health.
