Latin American School of Medicine Congress in Cuba begins

Havana, Nov 13 (Prensa Latina) The First International Congress of Graduates of the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM), which will be held at the Havana Convention Center until November 15th, will address topics such as primary health care, emergencies, natural disasters and Higher Medical Education Pedagogy.

According to the program, the event hosts the Second International Assembly of Graduates and will also serve as a room to discuss postgraduate training, challenges and experiences in medical sciences.

The meeting is part of the activities for the 25th anniversary of the Cuban institution, in which more than 30,800 doctors from more than 120 countries were trained.

The organizers explained that there will be interventions, in the form of master conference, by Cuban and foreign specialists, as well as experts from international organizations.

The event will feature panel discussions, round tables, research presentations, posters, and other forms of disseminating scientific and technological innovations, and during which videoconferences will enable the participation in pre-congress courses on relevant topics in Higher Education and Medical Sciences.
