Russia will provide all possible aid to Africa, Putin says

Moscow, Nov 10 (Prensa Latina) Russian President Vladimir Putin promised to provide all possible aid to African states in a message sent to the first Ministerial Conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum.

From our country we will continue to provide all possible help to ensure sustainable development, fight terrorism and extremism, tackle epidemics, solve food problems and mitigate natural disasters, Putin underlined in his message, read on Sunday by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

The Russian president stressed that Moscow attaches “special importance to the promotion of traditionally friendly relations with African partners.”

We are united by the desire to build a just multipolar order, based on true equality and the supremacy of international law, free from all discrimination, dictation and pressure through sanctions, Putin stressed.

The first ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum will be held on November 9 and 10 in Sirius, a municipality with the rank of federal territory on the Russian Black Sea coast.

Lavrov, speaking at a plenary session of the forum on Sunday, noted that the two Russia-Africa summits held so far marked “a pace that allows our relationship to move forward. We see progress in all fields,” he added.

In particular, the Russian Foreign Minister mentioned that in bilateral meetings on the sidelines of this conference, agreements were reached on several specific projects and agreements and memoranda were signed on various subjects.”
