In his first foreign trip since he took office on October 21, Cuong, who is also a member of the Political Bureau and permanent member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), will visit Chile on November 9-12 at the invitation of President Gabriel Boric.

Cuong will then travel to Lima invited by Peruvian President Dina Boluarte to attend the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week (AELW), a mechanism he officially joined in November 1998, VNA reported.
