Lazo, also the president of the Cuban Council of State, will hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of the Government, the Communist Party of China (CPC), and Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, China’s top legislature.
Lazo expects to hold exchanges with the country’s most significant authorities, and then he will travel to the Shandong province to visit places of socio-economic and cultural interest while holding bilateral dialogues with the region’s leaders.
The Cuban delegation also includes Susely Morfa Gonzalez, member of the Secretariat of the PCC Central Committee and head of the Department of Attention to Social Sectors; Communications Minister Mayra Arevich Marin; heads of parliamentary commissions, among other authorities.
The Cuban delegation previously visited Vietnam and Laos, as part of its tour through Asia.
