Columns of black smoke rose from the town of Sayyeda Zeinab south of the city of Damascus, where fire brigades and ambulances went to the site of the bombing.
The nature of the target attacked has not yet been specified nor whether there were any victims.
Last Thursday, at least five people lost their lives and another 10 were injured by violent Israeli bombings against the Syrian municipality of A-Qusseir, in the province of Homs, near the border with Lebanon.
Israel intensified its hostile military actions against targets in Syrian territory, some against Damascus, such as on the 9th of this month, when a residential building in Mezzeh was attacked, causing nine deaths and 14 persons injured.
According to Syrian authorities, Tel Aviv has launched more than 120 attacks this year, leaving at least 100 dead and dozens injured.
