One of the most present artistic expressions during the Belgian Week here is the art of capturing images through a lens, which is also reflected in an exhibition by another Belgian artist.
During this 19th edition, Photography will return on November 7, with the series “Teatros” (Theaters) by Belgian photographer Bert Danckaert. It consists of large-format images of Havana movie theaters from 2018 to 2024.
It is no less a truth, that comics and music are the main course. Still, beyond any preference, the event seeks to strengthen ties between the capital cities of Brussels and Havana (Belgium-Cuba, respectively).
The Belgian Week in Cuba celebrates the 25th anniversary of the cooperation agreement between both cities and the strengthening of relations in several areas, including culture. This was highlighted by Belgian Ambassador to Cuba, Jean-Jacques Bastien, and Serge Dias de Sousa, economic and commercial attaché at the Belgian Embassy here.
