Israeli settlers target Palestinian olive trees in the West Bank (+Photo)

Ramallah, Nov 3 (Prensa Latina) Palestinian entities denounced on Sunday Israeli settlers have been escalating their attacks on farmers' olive groves in the West Bank.

Official sources unfolded there have been 360 assaults on farmers during the olive harvesting season, most of the strikes have been occurring in Nablus, Hebron, Ramallah, Salfit, Bethlehem and Tulkarm.

Authorities further revealed that Israeli settlers have mounted 245 crimes of sabotage and theft as they have counted on the protection of Israeli genocidal forces, in addition to the siege dozens of farmers have been suffering who have been unable to access to their lands and properties.

As a result, 1,401 trees had been uprooted, including 1,339 olive trees in the Governorates of Hebron, Nablus, Ramallah, Bethlehem, Salfit and Qalqilya.

Palestinian entities assured that the Israeli occupier’s anger towards the olive harvesting season stems from considering it a sign of the original relationship between the Palestinian citizen and the land; therefore, it does everything possible to disrupt such strong bond through declared plans to control the Palestinian geography.

Palestinians’ resilience and their attachment to their land thwarted the premeditated plans of Israeli colonizers, and showed that the owners of the land do not give in to terrorism and do not back down.

Notwithstanding, the Israeli occupation forces had seized almost nine hectares of Palestinian lands in Jerusalem, Jenin and Salfit Governorates, under military orders aimed at imposing new realities and under security-related pretexts.
