The strategic dialogue between Son Hui and her Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, was held in Moscow, as part of the two nations’ increasingly improved ties, the report stated.
The Ministry indicated that the two parties had an in-depth exchange of views on practical issues for developing bilateral relations and implementing the agreements of the North Korea-Russia Summit held in Pyongyang in June this year.
It noted that Russia and North Korea reaffirmed their firm will to implement strictly the articles of the said treaty and agreed on the assessment of the current international situation.
Moscow and Pyongyang agreed that the deteriorated situation on the Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia was due to the provocative actions by the United States and its satellite states.
The Russian side voiced support for the steps taken by the DPRK leadership to curb the aggressive policy of Washington and its allies and preserve peace and stability in the region.
