Non-aggression pact proposed in Haiti’s political leadership

Port-au-Prince, Nov 2 (Prensa Latina) Haiti’s Chwazi Ayiti platform have proposed a non-aggression pact among members of the country’s political leadership, so as to neutralize clashes of interests, which are far removed from solving the people's problems.

Leaders of the platform sent a letter to provisional Prime Minister Garry Conille, suggesting a remodeling of his government, echoing a demand from the Presidential Transitional Council.

Chwazi Ayiti, led by Cliff Coulanges, has urged Conille to act swiftly, given the urgency of a Cabinet reshuffle, so as to guarantee a harmonious interaction between ministries and the head of government.

“Effective collaboration between these two entities of the executive power is the only way out of the crisis,” underlines the letter, quoted by Le Facteur Haiti daily.

Conille must stifle any form of insubordination in the team he leads, so as not to undermine the institutional order, given the critical need to respect institutions and the established authorities in order to achieve good governance, they demanded.
