Rodriguez arrived in Algiers on Thursday on multi-country tour that also included India and Vietnam.
The two sides reviewed the bilateral energy agenda and joint issues related to international organizations, such as the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), where both are members, official sources noted.
They reaffirmed “the commitment to work together to face global economic and geopolitical challenges,” the Venezuelan Vice Presidency indicated. They also discussed each country’s potentialities to give greater impetus to the common agreements in a win-win scheme to the benefit of both peoples.
Following the end of the 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia, Rodriguez traveled to India, where she met with Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, who was accompanied by executives from several energy companies, including Reliance.
The Venezuelan vice president announced on her Telegram channel that her visit has consolidated bilateral ties with a view to the future, based on complementarities and coincidences.
