The organizing committee of the film event announced that eight new Brazilian feature films will be shown in the cities of St. Petersburg, Nizhni Novgorod, Kaliningrad and Moscow.
The screenings will be held at the Rodina cinema in St. Petersburg, the Record Cultural Center in Nizhny Novgorod, the Karo 11 cinema in Moscow and the Zarya cinema in Kaliningrad.
Over time, the festival has become one of the main events related to Brazilian culture in Russia, and this year films will be screened in the categories of drama, comedy and biography.
Among these are three films inspired by Brazilian music: Our Dream, directed by Eduardo Albergaria; My Name is Gal, by Lo Politi and Dandara Ferreira; and Memories of a Cabin, by filmmaker Pedro Serrano.
Also on view will be the films My Sister and I, by director Suzana Garcia; the drama From Father to Son, by Paulo Halma; and the historical feature film Pedro’s Journey.
